Much of what is sold today as outdoor furniture is not really suitable for outdoor use. Most of these so-called outdoor pieces are for fair weather only. They can be stored outside, but only under a roof. Usually, they are not particularly sturdy or waterproof and cannot easily be stacked nor transported. This is why we have developed the SofaBOX.
For about 50 years, EDAK has been developing and producing robust high-quality aluminum transit cases which are also used by the Swiss army. Several generations of soldiers have used EDAK’s cases and many also sat on them from time to time. The SofaBOX represents the transformation of the robust transit case into a trendy mobile sofa.
